The City's inquiry and payment counter at the York Civic Centre, 2700 Eglinton Avenue West, is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. It deals with property tax and utility inquiries and payments, and with parking violation, automated speed enforcement and red light camera matters handled by the City's Administrative Penalty System operations. Landlords in Weston: Toronto's Rental Renovation Licence

Toronto's Rental Renovation Licence Bylaw has been enforced since July 31, 2025 and applies to N13 notices issued on or after that date. A landlord who serves an N13 notice for repairs or renovations that need the tenant to move out must apply within seven days, with a copy of the building permit, a copy of the N13 notice and a report from a qualified person confirming that vacant possession is required. A licence is valid for 12 months and must be posted on the rental unit's door during the work, and the City says it does not decide whether a landlord has the legal right to evict. If a tenant does not return, compensation equal to three months of rent-gap payments is due before the licence is issued. Rental income belongs on your tax return, and we can help you report it.

Weston sits in the Etobicoke York Community Council area

The City groups its wards into community council areas, and the former City of York, including Weston, belongs to the Etobicoke York Community Council, which covers Wards 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7. The City publishes a profile for each community council area, with demographic information drawn from the 2021 Census of Population, which can help if you are planning a business in the area. The City notes that the boundaries used before December 5, 2018 differ from the current community council areas.
