Tax Accountant in Uxbridge: File Your Taxes Online

Uxbridge clients, from the town centre to Goodwood and Zephyr, can file with us online: you send your slips, we prepare the return, you review and approve it, and we e-file it with the CRA, with no office visit. We do not have an office in Uxbridge; the closest is our Eglinton Branch on Eglinton Avenue East in Scarborough, if you want to meet in person. The Township of Uxbridge requires secondary suites to be registered, licenses a short list of businesses and sends property tax bills twice a year, so this page sets out the points that matter to owners.

Uxbridge Property Tax, Secondary Suite Registration and Business Licences

What to know, from the official pages named on each card. We last checked them on October 29, 2026.

Uxbridge property tax: four instalments and a 1.25% monthly charge

Uxbridge's 2026 instalments were due February 25 and April 28 for the interim bill, mailed in January, and June 26 and September 25 for the final bill, mailed in May. The interim bill is 50% of the previous year's annualized taxes and appears as a reduction on the final bill. A late payment charge of 1.25% applies each month to all past due taxes, and not receiving a tax notice does not waive the charge. The Township offers a monthly pre-authorized plan and email delivery of bills, and mortgage and trust companies that pay your taxes receive the information directly. Follow the dates on your bill.

Secondary suites in Uxbridge must be registered

The Township says secondary suites must be registered with it, using its Application Form for the Registration of Two-Unit Houses. You apply for a building permit before you add a unit, which confirms that the unit is built safely and meets the Ontario Building Code, and the Development Services Department can tell you whether a second unit is allowed on your property. If you rent the suite, the income belongs on your income tax return, and we can help you report it.

Business licences in Uxbridge: kennels, taxis, transient traders and more

The Township lists go karts, kennels, pawnbrokers, places of amusement, prohibited animal education events, refreshment vehicles, salvage yards, second-hand goods, taxi drivers and owners, and transient traders as businesses that may need a licence, if they are permitted at the location. You download the Business Licence Application and email it to the By-law Department, and the page points to BizPaL for provincial and federal licences. We can help you work out what applies to your business and keep its books.
