Brock Township Property Tax, Paying Your Taxes and Business Licences

What to know, from the official pages named on each card. We last checked them on October 29, 2026.

Brock Township property tax: four instalments and supplementary bills

Brock mails an interim bill in January and a final bill in June, and its 2026 instalments were due February 25 and April 24, then July 24 and September 25. The Township collects tax for itself, the Regional Municipality of Durham and the school boards. A supplementary bill is a separate levy: under the Assessment Act it can cover omitted property for the current year plus up to two preceding years, or an assessment increase for the current year only. You can register for e-billing by December 15 for the interim bill or May 15 for the final bill.

Paying Brock Township property tax: a drop box payment on instalment day counts as late

You can pay through online or telephone banking, a pre-authorized debit plan, your mortgage company, a financial institution, or in person at the Cannington Municipal Office with cash, debit or cheque. The drop box on the office door is for convenience only: payments are delivered to Treasury the next business day, so on an instalment day a drop box payment is processed late, and cash must never go in it. Pre-authorized plans withdraw on the instalment dates, on the first business day of each month, or under an arrears bridge program, and changes need 14 days' written notice.
