Mississauga accountants and remote tax filing

Tax Accountant in Mississauga: File Your Taxes Online

Most people in Mississauga file with us online: you send your slips, we prepare your return, you review and approve it, and we e-file it with the CRA, with no office visit. We do not have an office in Mississauga; the closest is our Head Office on Danforth Avenue in Toronto, if you want to meet in person. Mississauga's property tax bill and business licensing rules affect many owners, so this page sets out what to expect.

Prefer to meet in person? Our closest office is the Head Office (Toronto). See our locations

Mississauga Property Tax, Business Licence and Land Transfer Tax

What to know, from the official pages named on each card. We last checked them on October 29, 2026.

Your Mississauga property tax bill has three parts

The bill from the City of Mississauga covers the City, the Region of Peel and the school boards. An interim bill usually arrives in early February and reflects about 50% of the previous year's taxes. The final bill usually follows in early June for residential properties, and residential owners can pay each bill in three instalments. A late payment charge of 1.25% is added the day after an instalment is due, and again on the first day of each month until it is paid.

Many Mississauga businesses need a City licence

Mississauga licenses businesses in categories that include restaurants and retail food, personal services, trades such as plumbing and building renovation, outdoor food vendors and transportation. Most licences are applied for through the City's category pages, and some must be handled in person at the City's licensing office. The City points applicants to BizPal to find out which permits a business needs. We can help you work out what applies to your business and prepare the application.

Buying in Mississauga: Ontario's land transfer tax, not Toronto's

Ontario's land transfer tax applies to purchases across the province, and first-time buyers may be eligible for a refund of all or part of it. The City of Toronto adds its own municipal land transfer tax on Toronto properties only, so it does not apply to a home bought in Mississauga.
